Talked to one parent who avoided walking by Gage with their child when the signs were first torn down.

Gage Elementary held a rally about Black lives matter. The participantes taped their signs to the fence afterwards. I added the give away BLM Yard signs. One night someone came by and took the signs and tore down all the kids signs within reach. I immediately replaced the yard signs, each night they would disappear again.

In addition, the day after the kids signs were torn down, we (Richard and Maria) created thank you art cards with photos of the kids original signs on one side and thank you handwritten on the other. Richard then tied them to the fence, where the kids signs had been, with colorful ribbons. We designed them so kids/parents could take them home as momentos. I don't know if anyone did. They lasted intack about 3 days. Once again someone tore down what they could reach. 2 days latter we replaced many... felt like gardening.

At the very end the school cleared the fence of signs, including some not related to the BLM rally posted earlier by a Christian group. One little thank you card, curled and unreadable near the top of the fence, seemed to be missed. It stayed there for months.
