Another SFW Public Newsletter, 2-24-2024

Patching up old stuff, visiting Jonathan at his new digs in El Cajon, scanning blurry crotch pictures, begging for more... none of which I talk about in this newsletter...

rings true that the steps might be the problem...
Another SFW Monthly Public Newsletter - museo de rbcdart
So I created this newsletter for those people interested in my non-nude, public, and non-sexual stuff only. You know, mostly family and certain friends... I now also use it for all my ‘hey everybody’ type announcements.

Just a reminder, dropped the piece off Saturday, I am in this years Crow Show at the Studio Door... I made and lost to friends and family two pieces. Made two more and one (Wine Crow) actually got into The Studio Door's National Crow Show twice (I decided to change somethings and resubmitted the newer version).

I want to take a moment and talk about faith. I am currently going through a wonderful time of acceptance both for my art and my thoughts on the art scene. It is like I am a kid in church again. Latter on, in church, things went wrong. My prior experience with ArtGymSD was also like that... I'll skip details. In this moment my gut is twisting, old scars flaring up, and I am dreading people's response but giving them a chance. It's worked before. People can be incandescent (for good or ill). Still, I am in a moment where the other shoe may drop, discover my principles flawed/ineffective/non-applicable, and then be cut again. The whole process makes me glad I am mortal.

I am currently at The Dairy. It has been 2 years since I was last here, I gave away a lot of my art, confirmed with two people that they would continue being my muse, and recommitted to my art practice. I am here this time with a new hip, without a gallbladder, and a lot less angst. Looking forward to helping Maria do a pit firing, might get over to Joshua Tree, mostly spending time contemplating my navel and possibly photographing it. The last two years has been a process of slowly stepping out on my terms, deepening my relationship with Maria, doing and selectively showing my art. Your patronage is still the best thing going for me in terms of emotional and financial support.

A new way to look at my art is under the For Sale link in the upper left hand corner of my website pages. Here are the links. Only the first one is Safe for Work.

Safe For Work / Artcards / Mounted Artworks / Framed by Michelle / Mounted Miniatures / Suggested Prints / Bargains

All three of my miniatures (5x5) sold at OMA's teeny tiny fundraiser!

I have come to think of wanting 'just a print' as cool... Printing almost any image in my 840+ posts is possible (many more in my files). I prefer to do it myself, using the largest file I have for the image. I have decided that I like the prints I make a little better than the ones done by On Demand services, much better than those created on office or home printers. Still, I debated it. Easier to use On Demand in that they have preset things, show the image matted and framed and include delivery. Overall, if you include framing, on demand can be cheaper and archival but maybe, not as good or as personal. So, now, any image I have created I will archivally hand print to your size and ratio desires (12x18" is the largest I currently do). The print will be unframed, and signed by myself. More details here:

Considering ordering a Print?
here ya go, the process begins

Major plumbing repairs going on right now... the price of about 40 Desert Dairy visits. Hopefully the front bathroom will be safer to use. Anybody have a spare 40k for their almost favorite artist/person... one who is in their top 10, top 20?

and some other random stuff!
